Tempo Dance Festival 2026 has shows across multiple venues with different ticketing providers.

buying tickets
Online
Tickets for all of our shows can be booked via our individual show pages. Click on a show to see more details, then click the BOOK NOW button to purchase tickets or reserve your spot for free events. Sales are available right up until start time of the event.
Over the Phone
Tickets for most shows can be booked via the iTicket phone number 0508 iTICKET or 09 361 1000.
For DARK!DARK!DARK! bookings, please call Ticketmaster on 0800 111 999, or 09 970 9745 for group bookings.
Please note: Ephemeral: A One Day Performance Lab, Dance Films of Yesteryear: Flashdance and Dream Futures: Screendance Now cannot be booked over the phone.
In Person
All shows ticketed through iTicket can be booked in person at the Q Theatre box office. Please note the box office is not open during the day for ticket sales, but opens 90 minutes before any performance.
DARK!DARK!DARK! can be booked in person at the Aotea Centre box office, which is open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm.
Booking fees still apply to in-person sales, so we recommend booking your tickets online ahead of time where possible to avoid missing out.
PRICES + BUNDLES
Pricing
SUPPORT TEMPO – This is a dynamic price that allows you to add a small donation to the cost of your ticket. Every donation goes toward supporting the future of Tempo Dance Festival.
STANDARD – This is the standard ticket price.
CONCESSION – Concession tickets are available to Students and Senior Citizens (65+) with valid ID. Unwaged and Independent Artists may also book concession tickets.
Bundle + Save!
Book 3 iTicket shows and get 15% off your tickets, or book 4 shows and get 20% off. Offer applies to Standard tickets only, excludes free events and Big Low Dream. Please note your cart must have 3 or 4 separate events in it for the discount to apply.

Booking Held Access Tickets
To make an accessible booking for a show at Basement or Q Theatre, please call iTicket on 0508 484 253. These can be paid for by invoice.
To make an accessible booking for DARK!DARK!DARK!, call Ticketmaster on 0800 111 999 or email customer.service@ticketmaster.co.nz.
Wheelchair Users
Wheelchair users are welcomed at most of our venues, including Q Theatre, Basement Theatre (not for Operamoth), Concert Chamber – Auckland Town Hall, Objectspace, Karangahape Road Car Park, Academy Cinemas, Te Puna Creative, Silo Theatre Hall, and at our classes.
We have worked closely with Touch Compass and Q Theatre to provide further wheelchair user spaces for WHITE NOISE + Oro on Friday 16 October. Unfortunately this is still relatively limited, so please book soon to ensure there is space. We will be taking a waitlist, if they are all booked up.
Wheelchair user tickets can be booked by calling iTicket on 0508 484 253. These tickets come with a companion seat.

The following events are unfortunately not accessible for wheelchair users:
Operamoth, BODIES: a club night, Fitting In: Karangahape GGebi (깨비), and please enquire with Auckland Live to confirm for Tōrua and your specific route.
New Zealand Sign Language
WHITE NOISE + Oro is New Zealand Sign Language interpreted by Platform Interpreting NZ.
The best seats for sightlines of both the interpreter and the stage are in the Stalls:
rows A–D, seats 15–20.

Audio Description
WHITE NOISE + Oro is an audio described performance by Audio Described Aotearoa.
Please book by calling iTicket on 0508 484 253, so that we know you will be utilising the headsets.
Accessible Environments
Where we can, we are working to make our events more accessible. Please feel free to utilise whatever works to support you to engage with our events – headphones, sunglasses, Sunflower Initiative lanyards, Loops, and more are all welcome!
We will be encouraging our venues to keep the overhead lights not too bright and the music easeful.
